This review discusses evidence in support of the use of mepolizumab (NUCALA) for the treatment of chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps. Following earlier approvals in the US, Europe and Australia,1-3 mepolizumab was licensed for use in New Zealand in January 2023 as an add-on treatment in adults with severe chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps and an inadequate response to intranasal corticosteroids.4 This publication has been commissioned and funded by GSK.
